PPGJLI advances literacy, creativity, and community building by expanding access to books and stories that empower individuals and strengthen society. Through author development and publishing, we support writers in bringing life-transforming ideas to print while using reading and storytelling as tools for personal growth, collective healing, and social change.
Our Impact
Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute delivers measurable outcomes by expanding literacy, cultivating authors, and elevating diverse voices through the arts and humanities. Our programs have reached thousands of students, families, and community members through school partnerships, library programs, writing workshops, and author development initiatives.
Through these efforts, participants gain improved reading engagement, increased confidence in writing and self-expression, and greater access to culturally affirming books and learning spaces. Youth and emerging authors develop the skills to share their stories, while families build home libraries that support long-term educational success. Our work results in stronger literacy outcomes, empowered difference makers, and communities enriched by inclusive stories and creative expression.
